0-10VDC Modulating electric actuator functionality is achieved in the smart AVA electric actuator by a factory installed internal digital positioner that uses digital magnetic position sensing for highly accurate actuator output drive position feedback to the positioner to create proportional control. This output position is compared to an input signal (0-10VDC) and as the output shaft position should be proportional to the input signal, if a difference exists, the positioner runs the motor in the desired direction until the output shaft position is exactly proportional to the input signal.
An output signal is provided as standard allowing closed loop systems to be used.
On loss of control signal the actuator can be configured to fail high (open), low (close) of freeze (stay put). On loss of external power, the actuator stays put.
